At VIP Veterinary Centre, we know that navigating your pet’s healthcare can bring up lots of questions, especially if you’re a new client or haven’t visited in a while. That’s why we’ve created this FAQ section to help you find quick, clear answers.

Whether you’re wondering about vaccinations, appointment bookings, or what to bring on your first visit, we’ve got you covered. If your question isn’t answered here, feel free to contact our team directly or book online.

How do I book an appointment?

You can book online anytime using our Vetstoria booking system, or give us a call on 08 6143 4929 during business hours. We offer 20-minute consultations to ensure each pet gets thorough, personalised attention, without the wait.

Can I see the same vet each time?

Continuity of care is very beneficial for your pet, and yes, you can book with the same vet online or by asking when you book over the phone.

Do you accept new clients?

Absolutely! We love meeting new pets and their people. You can fill out our New Client Registration Form before your first visit, or arrive a few minutes early to complete it in-clinic.

Yes, we follow current vaccination protocols and offer triennial vaccines for dogs, which is in line with the World Small Animal Veterinary Association’s guidelines.

How do I request a medication refill?

Easy! Just complete our Prescription Refill Request Form. We’ll ask how your pet is responding to their medication, arrange a callback if needed, and confirm your pet has been seen in the last six months (as required by law).

What happens during a nurse consult?

Our nurses provide supportive services under the direction of a vet, including:

  • Arthritis and allergy injections
  • Anal gland expression
  • Nail trims
  • Post-op care
  • Weight checks

These visits are ideal for follow-up care or minor procedures that don’t require a vet consult.

My pets can become quite fearful or stressed. How is this managed at VIP?

At VIP, all the staff are trained in stress free handling of cats and dogs, and we use a variety of techniques such as taking extra time, food rewards or medications to work with your pet. Feel free to call us, and we can help to create the easiest way to visit the clinic for your pet.
