Why Our Team Makes the Difference
Our clients choose VIP Veterinary Centre not only for our modern facilities and full-service offerings, but also because of the people behind it all. Each team member brings a passion for animal health and a commitment to making every visit as stress-free as possible.
We don’t believe in rushing appointments or treating clients like numbers. Instead, we take time to listen, explain, and tailor care that suits your pet and your family. It’s this personalised, non-corporate approach that sets us apart across Landsdale, Darch, Madeley, Alexander Heights, and neighbouring communities.
Here for your pets. Here for you.

We can’t wait for you to meet the VIP Vet team. Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, we’re here to support your pet’s health journey with empathy and experience. Book your appointment online or reach out with questions via phone or email. We’d love to hear from you.
Amy Markovs
Registered Veterinary Nurse, Head Nurse
Amy has been part of the VIP family since 2012, starting as a nurse and groomer before stepping into the role of Head Nurse in 2021. With nearly 30 years of industry experience, Amy is the go-to for just about any cat or dog query and is affectionately known as the “ship captain” of the VIP team. Her leadership, dedication, and deep knowledge make her an invaluable asset. Outside of work, Amy enjoys the chaos and joy of life with her fur and human family.
Dr Astrid Koenig
Head Veterinarian
Dr Astrid Koenig graduated with Honours from Murdoch University in 2003 and has since built a diverse and accomplished veterinary career. She began in rural mixed practice in Western Australia and spent two years working in the UK before returning to small animal practice in suburban Perth. Astrid has been a cornerstone of the VIP Veterinary Centre team since 2016. Her professional interests lie in small animal medicine, general surgery, and soft tissue procedures. Outside the clinic, Astrid enjoys quality time with her family and caring for her beloved rescue rabbit, Lucy.
Kylie Sequeira
Registered Veterinary Nurse, Practice Manager
Kylie joined VIP in 2016 and quickly moved into leadership roles, becoming Head Nurse and later stepping into the role of Practice Manager in 2021. With over a decade of experience in the veterinary industry, she is passionate about fostering team connection and mentoring future vet nurses through student placements with South Metro TAFE and AVT. Outside of the clinic, Kylie enjoys painting, Pilates, and picnics with her young family.
Kristen De Graaf
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Kristen completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing at South Metro TAFE in 2018 and became part of the VIP team in 2021. She has a strong interest in surgical nursing and inpatient care, and brings positivity and laughter to the clinic every day. When she’s not at work, Kristen is studying human nursing part-time and keeping up with her energetic young son. She shares her home with her partner and pets: Simon the Blue Heeler, Olive the cheeky Labrador, and Mouse the cat (who’s definitely not a mouse).
Monique Lord
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Monique began her veterinary nursing journey with VIP in 2020 as a student and officially joined the team in 2021. Since then, she has continued to build her skills and confidence, becoming a dedicated and compassionate nurse. Monique is a proud pet parent to her cat Ollie and her horse Cruise, and she spends her spare time doting on her furry “kids.”
Louise Tennant
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Louise has been a valued part of the VIP Vet team since 2012, with a short break to work as a locum nurse around Perth. She is passionate about building connections with both clients and their pets, often found at the front desk, welcoming everyone with a smile and a cuddle for their companions. At home, Louise enjoys the antics of her two cats: the recently adopted Sebastian and his older brother Cassidy (named after Butch Cassidy).
Michelle Maccione
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Michelle first joined VIP as a locum nurse in 2024 before becoming a permanent team member. With additional training in veterinary dentistry, Michelle is our resident expert when it comes to dental care and mastering our giant dental X-ray machine. She’s also known for her gentle care and cuddles for surgery patients. In her downtime, Michelle focuses on her fitness and loves pampering her long-haired fur baby, Aelin.
Jaimie James

Jaimie joined VIP in late 2024 and has quickly become a cherished member of the team, like the cool aunty, but with expert-level responsibility.
